Snow and Field Birds, December 10, 2013

An American Pipit in fresh snow in a cornfield in northern Howard County on December 10.

A distant meadowlark and a starling in the top of an icy tree. This was near the spot where the pipit photo was taken. A few meadowlarks winter in Howard County fields but it is hard to see them unless it snows.
