Young White-crowned Sparrow

Horned Lark

American Copper

Grasshopper Sparrow

I  walked in Western Regional Park in western Howard County today.  It was full of birds, mostly sparrows. These included a late Grasshopper Sparrow that allowed a photo and a rare Nelson’s Sparrow with an orange face that was camera shy.

Male Eastern Bluebird

There was also a small group of Horned Larks and a few butterflies including this American Copper.
