Southern Broken Dash Skipper, Gateway Business Park, 27 August 2013

These small Southern Broken Dash Skippers rarely come north in late summer to Howard County.  This one is nectaring on white eupatorium flowers which attract many butterflies in late summer.

Here is a fresh Swarthy Skipper at Gateway on August 19, 2013.  They become more common later in the month.
